Turning on the TV..

The evening headlines blink in red..

“16 year old boy killed after a fight with another boy”

Why people are so cruel?

The reason they say is a cigarette

A fight over a cigarette…

Why? What is wrong with us?

Where is mankind heading to?

Peaceful life? Integrity and improvement? No way..

We are far away from that…

Especially when it comes to a person’s life- a child’s life!

Instead of looking ahead towards the future,

We are going backwards, with huge insensible steps….

Today, tomorrow – it’s getting worse..

Breaking news are getting more terrifying

Young women raped, others killed…

All these children whose life ended so suddenly..who could not grow up, have their own family and get old…

Life is being unfair with us sometimes….

Teaching us all the way throughout our lifetime….

Giving us hints, sending us people to guide us and protect us…to teach us how to love….how to treat others…how to fight and be strong…

Life is also sending us people to hate us, to insult us and to break our hearts …so we can become stronger…

But why is life sending us people to kill us?

The answer to this question lies in our sanity…

Tear drop September 5, 2009

Tear drop – falling from the sky,

Silently kissing the ground,

Bringing the emotion of a new day,

Stealing away the echo of the last…

 

Reflection of my silhouette in the rain drop,

That’s rolling down the windshield.

Drawing contours of a new morn,

Shivering in rhythm, under the wind’s blow.

 

Yet another day, I have to share you with the endless sky,

And keep waking up without you by my side.

Today, it’s raining again in my eyes,

Although, I still feel your love inside.

Sharp noises – coming from up above,

Of a supersonic, that is tearing up the air mantle,

Reverberating in the distance roughly,

Just like your absence is killing me abruptly.

 

Snow flake –falling from the sky,

Silently melting on the ground,

Bringing the emotion of a new day,

My child arrived just the other day;
Came to the world in the usually way
But there were planes to catch and bills to pay.
He learned to walk while I was away.
He was talkin’ ‘fore I knew it.
And as he grew he said,
“I’m gonna be like you, Dad.
You know I’m gonna be like you.”

“When you comin’ home ?”

Well, my son turned ten just the other day.
He said , “Thanks for the ball, Dad. Come on, let’s play.
Could you teach me to throw ?” I said, “Not today.
I got a lot to do.” He said, “That’s okay.”
And he walked away and he smiled and he said,

I’m gonna be like him, yeah.

Well, he came from college just the other day,
So much like a man I just had to say,

He shook his head and he said with a smile,

You see my new job’s a hassle and the kids have the flu,

And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me,
He’d grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.

Lying mutely by your side…..

Staring out thru your tiny little window…

Sudden outburst of sadness ran thru my veins…

Sadness for no specific reason, or maybe thousands of such ….

“Nostalgia” is the word that got stuck in my mind…but why?

Nostalgia, for what? For yesterday…..as if yesterday was better than today…

Looking again towards the window, I see sunlight…a little bright spot at the end, as if it shapes up the end of a long dark tunnel….

The little bright spot that makes life meaningful…that brings sense to everything…

How I wish you could show me the places of every single piece thus making the puzzle complete…

How I wish you could hold me close and meet the sunrise with me by your side….today….tomorrow…next year…..together….without fear…
